The Role

What would you say you do here?

The primary mission of Reach is synonymous with that of all Christians — to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18). More specifically, Reach exists to make disciples who believe the Gospel, worship Jesus, grow in community, and live on mission. The Women's Lead champions our efforts at the intersection of discipleship and community, and oversees all expressions of our commitment to this for women at Reach.

This part-time (10 hours/week) role is responsible for the overall strategy, promotion, and execution of Reach’s Women's ministry. They will invest in recruiting and developing leaders to grow existing discipleship environments for women and build new opportunities for learning, equipping, and belonging.

What qualities does a person in this position bring to the table?  

Gifts and Abilities:
  • A Passion for discipling women. Must possess a clear conviction that all God’s people are to make disciples and seek to fulfill the Great Commission.
  • A Missionary Heart. Loves to engage lost people with the Gospel. Have the ability to train others to share their faith.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Able to build relationships with people of varying ethnicities, socio-economic levels, and generations; recruits, equips, and empowers, both formally and relationally.
  • Strong administrative, and organizational skills. Ensures that all tasks are done correctly, thoroughly, and with excellence.
Experience & Education:
  • 3+ years of pastoral experience in community-building and in leading (volunteer) teams.
  • Formal training in theology, counseling, and leadership. BA or MA degree preferred, but not required.
Personal Characteristics:
  • A personal history of community life involvement.
  • A commitment to the vision and mission of the church.
  • A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders.

Your Core Responsibilities

What does success look like for this position?

Organize Reach Women’s Gatherings & Events
  • Alongside the Women's Leadership Team, plan, prepare, and execute all Reach Women’s gatherings and events.
  • Communicates effectively and winsomely one-on-one, in meetings, and in large gatherings. Events can include but are not limited to Meet-ups, studies, worship + prayer, retreats, and service projects. Oversee Reach Women's social media.
  • Serves as a meaningful voice at Reach Sunday services and Women's events, which can include preaching, teaching, and facilitating services.
Build & Lead a Women’s Leadership Team
  • Establish and lead a multi-generational volunteer leadership team to support Women at Reach with a particular focus on facilitating belonging, providing care through the Women's Care Team, connecting for discipleship (in Groups and DNAs), and inspiring towards Mission.
Build & Lead a Women’s Leadership Team
  • Connect and equip women to grow and disciple one another in Groups and DNAs.
