About Jesus

Jesus

Reach exists to point people to Jesus — our greatest hope. Whether you’ve followed Him your whole life, consider yourself a skeptic, or are just hearing about Him for the first time, Jesus has more for you.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is unlike anyone else. He is fully God and fully human — the eternal Son of God who stepped into our world and took on flesh (John 1:14). If you’ve ever wondered what God is like, you don’t have to guess — look at Jesus. Scripture calls Him “the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15) — the One who makes the unseen God known.

Through Jesus, the Kingdom of God has come near. In His life, death, and physical resurrection, He revealed the rule and reign of God breaking into our world. Through the cross, He defeated sin, death, and all the powers of darkness (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), extending grace and new life to all who trust in Him. He said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6) — the only path to the Father and the source of all true life.

Even now, the wonder continues: He has not left us. Jesus is Emmanuel — “God with us” (Matthew 1:23) — and through His Holy Spirit, He is still near: guiding, transforming, empowering, and making His presence known. Right now, He reigns at the Father’s side (Acts 2:33–36), and one day He will return to make all things new and bring the fullness of His Kingdom (Revelation 21:5).

This is the hope Jesus offers — not a distant idea, but a living promise rooted solely in Him and what He has done. And that changes everything.

Following Jesus

Following Jesus begins with faith — receiving His grace, forgiveness, and new identity as beloved sons and daughters of God (Ephesians 2:8–10). As we trust Him, we begin to walk in the way of discipleship: loving God, loving others, and learning to live under the good rule of His Kingdom. (Matthew 22:37–39).

The Holy Spirit is at work within us, reshaping our desires and transforming us into the likeness of Christ — people marked by holiness, compassion, justice, and mercy (Romans 8:29). This transformation is lifelong, but Jesus doesn’t wait until we’re “finished” to partner with us. Even now, He invites us into His mission — proclaiming good news, advancing His Kingdom, and working for God’s peace and renewal in the world (John 20:21; Matthew 28:18–20).

And we do all this with unshakable hope: that He will complete what He began, raising us to resurrection life and restoring all creation (1 Corinthians 15:20–26). Jesus is our greatest hope — and that hope is offered freely to you.

If you’re ready to begin, simply talk to Him. Tell Him you trust Him with your whole heart. Tell Him you’re ready to give Him your life. He hears you — and He welcomes you.
