Reach is led by a team of people with different backgrounds, experiences and passions. Some of us are paid leaders, and some of us volunteer.
We’re honored to be in the roles we are in, and we have a lot of fun, but our primary focus is to equip you for a life of purpose in God's family and on His mission.
Elders oversee the life, teaching, and mission of Reach, and work to keep everything we do focused on our vision to be the church and reach the city.
I have had the honor of serving Jesus from childhood, and am now supporting the men’s, marriage and care ministries at Reach. Through the years I’ve worn many hats around church, and Reach has been home since June of 2013. I really enjoy my family. God has used my wife, Stephanie, and me to further His Kingdom over the years. There’s no better feeling in the world than participating in God’s plan of redemption and restoration. I pray it never ends. I know it costs everything. It’s worth every last cent.
Canadian-born and Texas-raised, I first landed in the Seattle area in 2003 on a basketball scholarship at Northwest University for what I thought would be a 2-year stay to finish my business degree. However, after falling in love with the city and with my now-wife, Emilie, I knew I had found my new home.
Emilie and I started Reach with our two kids and a handful of friends in the summer of 2012. Since then we’ve seen a whole lot of strangers become family, sent out a few church plants of our own, plowed through a masters degree at Western Seminary, and added three more kiddos to our household.
I love basketball, good books, and Tex-Mex, but most of my time goes to chasing my five kiddos — Boston, Ryder, Banner, Scottie, and Arrow…and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Established in the fall of 2019, the Leadership Council is a diverse group of trusted men and women who serve in an advisory capacity to support the elders. Council members increase transparency in decision-making, provide loving encouragement, and advance Reach’s culture of collaboration and sacrificial service.
Our staff is empowered to champion the day-to-day expressions of Reach. They help us to belong, to serve, and to care for each other and the city.
I have the joy of caring for the youngest members of our church family. The 4 and under crowd are my people! I’m grateful for the chance to share Jesus’ love with them and help equip their parents to do the same throughout the week. My husband, Roy, and I started coming to Reach in 2014, and have been at home ever since. I’m a full-time nanny and coffee drinker. I love singing along with all sorts of music in the car or whatever is stuck in my head. I love space, movies, space movies, and running the occasional triathlon.
I lead a team of creatives who love serving the church and glorifying Jesus through photography, videography, and design. I'm passionate about using creativity to simplify complex thoughts, ideas, and feelings. I stumbled upon Reach almost 7 years ago when I moved from California to the Seattle area and have had the joy of being a part of this church family ever since. I also like pizza just a little too much, just ask my friends. Go Lakers.
I lead Reach in inspring and equipping our people to be the church and reach our city by executing on the vision and voice of our church. I get excited about innovation, collaboration, creativity, and all things technology. I landed at Reach in the fall of 2013 and have served here ever since. I’m so thankful for our special family and am honored to serve such a generous and Gospel-centered community. I'm always obsessed with something I love to blab about, and I obsess over book, movie, and podcast recs. **P.S. My parents would like you to know my name is pronounced (STE-fin) 😄.
I oversee all things operations related. That means I get to serve the Reach staff and community in a variety of areas like finance, staff development, HR, facilities, Serve Teams, event planning, making mobile church happen, and more. I love working with leaders to solve complex puzzles of all kinds. It's an incredibly fun role that takes place mostly behind the scenes.
Jackie, my wife, and I have been at Reach since 2015. We love spending time with friends and adventuring near and far. Soccer, snowboarding, paddleboarding and sushi are my jam. Oh, and I grew up in Japan.
Oh hi! I’m Zach and I lead our music and gatherings teams. We lead our church to highly value worshipping Jesus, both in our singing and in our daily lives. I have been leading worship in the church since I was 14 years old. My beautiful wife Shelby and I have 3 wonderful, hilarious children – Lily, Piper, and Archer. I’m a Texan and I love all kinds of pop music. Weird.
I oversee Sunday shenanigans for Elementary kids and equip the team to provide fun, consistent opportunities for kids to know the Gospel and what Jesus did for them. My high school sweetheart Nick and I have two smart blondies Emma and Henry. We landed at Reach's very first service on a recommendation from a friend to try a "cool new church plant" near our new home. I'm a Kansas girl who married a Navy man so I've grown to love adventure but love me some snacks and a good flick/game night too. Also smiling is my favorite.
I have the great joy of overseeing women's events, leading our Bible studies and helping women find their people. I am passionate about creating spaces, resources, and connections that enable women to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus and with one another. My husband Stephen and I were young whippersnappers when we helped plant Reach and have stuck around ever since. We have three kids (Jamison, Reese and Max) each of whom inspire us to throw dance parties in the kitchen as often as we can.
I am a counselor who oversees care at Reach. I meet with our people who are dealing with special circumstances (loss, anxiety, depression, addiction, etc.) and I open the Bible with them. It’s awesome. I also direct a counseling program at a local school, working with at-risk teens. My wife Kindal and I love to share our story with others. Reach found us years ago when we were hurting and desperately in need of God’s voice. I’m a cheese addict (I can quit anytime I want to), overly committed to Nebraska football, tattoo enthusiast, and have a child-posse of 4 cool kiddos.
I’m passionate about helping people know Jesus, and we believe that happens in the context of community. I started attending Reach with my family as a freshman in college. Being a part of this community has deepened my understanding of what it means to live in relationship with Jesus and to be a member of His family. It is my desire to support students as they walk with Jesus and to empower them to engage in their community. I can’t wait to throw a party so you can meet your people and love Jesus with them!
I pastor our Youth ministry, as well as provide leadership and vision for our Kids, College, and Interns. My heart is for unity and that our ministries exist for the purpose of gospel, worship, community, and mission. I was born and raised in the Bay Area. My beautiful wife Patricia and I have one kid, and a second on the way.
Volunteer Team Leaders use their gifts to serve the church they love. We’re honored and inspired by their generosity.
I have the great opportunity to help people feel plugged-in, involved in our community and part of this awesome family we call Reach. In a nutshell, I get to connect people with a group that is right for them! I am a PNW native, and I have been calling Reach home since 2014. My wonderful husband Lawrence and I have a sweet and energetic son, Maddox, and are expecting a new addition to our family soon.
I oversee our Meet-Ups, facilitating low-stakes ways for people to get plugged in, build community, and share the things that they are passionate about. I joined Reach back when it launched just to help out some friends for a little, but I haven’t been able to tear myself away from the elite teaching and rich culture. I’ve traveled around the world trying to find someplace better than Seattle and I’ve failed, but I love the challenge – as long as I get to come hang to backyard hangs with friends.
People are my passion and I am honored to have the opportunity to listen and encourage others. I’ve been at Reach since 2014 and it has changed my life. I was drawn in by the authenticity of the people and their desire to learn how to love like Jesus does; on purpose, and in community. My heart is to help facilitate safe spaces where people can meet with God through song, story, prayer, or coffee (love coffee). I’m a teacher and married to my wonderful husband Ryan. If you haven’t met me I’m the one who is always singing…
Keeping my garden, cooking for friends/family, dining with friends, and going for long walks with my prayer partners fill me with joy and balance my near obsession with data, systems, and processes (which I love). My husband, Paul, and I have been at Reach for 4+ years; together, we lead the Marriage Care Team. We are blessed to have 4 adult children; 3 are married (so now we have 7 adult children!). In 2015 we began the wonderful adventure of grandparenting; we have 5 wonderful, delightful grandchildren.
I believe we can find loving homes for every foster child in WA state. Ask me how and I'll talk first about the Gospel and culture before the overwhelming need. Ask me!! Our family has been fighting human trafficking for over a decade which also has sad ties to the Foster system. My husband Jeremy and I were part of the Reach launch team and have loved the service heartbeat from the beginning. I dabble in painting and puns and my happy place is hiking with our 3 wild and incredible kids.
I have the great privilege of spending each week caring for the kids of Reach and the wonderful volunteers who serve them. I'm passionate about kids and their families seeing what it looks like to be the church, love Jesus, and share his love with the people around them. My family has been at Reach since 2014. My wife is Kirsten, our terrific kids are Greta and Oliver, and our silly dog is Joan (of Bark). In my spare time, you can usually find me trying to make good things out of wood, grain and yeast, wires, or sometimes food.
