Local + Global mission

Believe the truth, do the stuff.

“To be taken up into what God is doing in the world so that what he is doing becomes your very life, is the greatest opportunity one will ever have.”
– Dallas Willard

We want to play the most significant role possible in the story of what God is doing in our city, and across the globe.

So we not only partner with nonprofits doing great work and send missionaries to countries many will never see — we also empower dozens of Groups in our church to engage the needs and opportunities they encounter in their everyday lives.

Are we proud to offer micro-grants to people at Reach with vision to serve their city? Absolutely. But we always say you don't need permission or a program to live on mission. We are learning to believe this together — and it's changing everything.

A heart for Foster Care.

Many Reach families are shaping their story around providing a loving temporary home for children facing significant family challenges.

We support orgs that fight injustice.

In 2017 we celebrated after the people of Reach raised $130,000 to build a safe home for girls rescued from the sex trade in India through Rescue:Freedom. Check out the video for a tour of their new home. We're proud to be one of the founding members of The Rescue Network.

Groups are reaching the city.

A Group in Mountlake Terrace has been regularly serving and building relationships with teen moms and their kids in Everett through a non-profit called YoungLives. Pictured here is the Group along with the moms, their kids, boyfriends, and YoungLives leaders at their end-of-summer BBQ.

“All we have to do is say yes.”

The Carvers serve alongside their Group providing monthly meals at a local low-income housing complex in the Kirkland area. In September 2018 they were able to celebrate the baptism of a friend they met while serving.

The Veritas Foundation supports a school for the blind in Sierra Leone.

Reach supports the Veritas Foundation, who provides children with food, clothing, and healthcare at the Paul School for the Blind in Bo, Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Join the mission

We're committed to being aggressively generous toward the great things God is doing in our backyard and around the world. 10% of this year's annual budget goes straight out the door to church plants, missionaries, nonprofits, and people in need.
