Gather today and remember the story of Jesus’ birth together, worshiping God for all that He has done.
Luke 2:1-20; John 1:1-18; Hebrews 4:14-16
The fifth, central, white candle is traditionally called the Christ Candle. The color white reminds us of His sinless life and the light Jesus brought in His incarnation. Long expected, the birth of the Messiah Jesus was wildly unexpected in its nature. Wrapped in scandal and poverty, hidden in a tiny forgotten village. Yet the Son of David and Son of God, in fulfillment of all the ancient prophecies, was born into our world at precisely the right moment. We welcome you Jesus. Even now we welcome Your light. Light the Final Advent Candle (along with all other previous candles).
Offer a time of open prayer and thanksgiving together.
