For Young Men, K-12

Trail Life

Trail Life is a Christ-centered outdoor adventure program designed for young men in grades K-12 to learn to honor God, serve others, and lead with integrity. We believe that young men thrive in an environment that embraces their naturally curious, high-energy selves.

We meet most Mondays at 6:30pm during the school year at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church In Kirkland.

Our Rhythms

What to Expect

“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” - 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

We get together

We meet on a weekly basis throughout the school year to learn life and outdoor skills, build friendships, and develop our faith. Our meetings are hands-on, active, and fun! We also have monthly weekend activities (hiking, snow tubing, water rockets, and more!)

We Follow Jesus

We read the Bible together, we learn together, and we pray together. Jesus is at the center of everything we do. We encourage our Trailmen to make the practice of their faith part of the natural rhythm of their lives.

We Grow

We have a heart for growing our Trailmen into Godly men who will become great husbands, fathers, and leaders. We teach our Trailmen to courageously follow Jesus and inspire others to do likewise. We equip Christian men to provide leadership and mentorship for our Trailmen.

We Love the Outdoors

We enjoy regularly engaging in outdoor activities, and teach our Trailmen to be good stewards of God’s creation. We believe learning outdoor skills is a fantastic way to build a young man’s confidence and help him grow in his relationship with Christ.

Troop Leader

Meet Nick Jackson

In 2018, I felt called to help young men grow into Godly husbands, fathers, and citizens, so along with a group of Reach dads, we founded Troop WA-1613 at Reach. I’ve served as Troopmaster since the beginning, and it’s been a joy to see the troop grow and to experience the program alongside my son, Henry. My wife, Crystal, our kids Emma and Henry, and I have called Reach Church home since 2013.

You’re Invited

Whether you’ve been following Jesus for decades, or identify with words like “curious” or “skeptical” when it comes to faith or church, we want you to know there is a place for you here.
